An interview with MURI Co-PI Tom Malone is featured in Deloitte Review, issue 24. The interview, which is the subject of an article written by Jim Guszcza and Jeff Schwartz, explores Professor Malone's work on Superminds and the future of human-machine collective intelligence.

We are proud to announce three graduate students have completed their dissertations and will graduate with PhD's this Spring.

Wenjun Mei is now a postdoctoral scientist at ETH Zurich. His dissertation was titled, "Modeling and Analysis of Social Network Dynamics: Propagation, Learning and Structural Balance." He was a Mechanical Engineering student at UCSB, advised by Professor Francesco Bullo.

MURI Co-PI Noah Friedkin was one of six UCSB faculty to be elected as a fellow to the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) — the world’s largest general scientific society and publisher of numerous prestigious journals, including Science. Professor Friedkin was recognized for his distinguished contributions to mathematical sociology, with special attention to network theory and its diverse sociological and social psychological implications.

Purpose: We will present a formal review of our MURI research project on the network science of teams, bringing together program faculty and the ARO program managers.
